Another five companies have been fined for cartel co-operation within the business concept Nye Visioner
Five companies have admitted to having infringed the competition law by entering into agreements on pricing and sharing of costumers within the business concept Nye Visioner. The Danish Competition Council has previously issued fines to five other companies for cartel cooperation within the business concept Nye Visioner.
The companies that have now been fined are:
- NYE Visioner v/Jens Dahlsgaard
- Nye Visioner v/Dorthe Ribergaard Vinther
- NYE Visioner v/Stina Duevang
- NYE Visioner v/Pia Ulsing
- NYE Visioner v/Bjarke Elbert
The companies have accepted fines of 6,000-64,000 DKK for having entered into agreements on pricing and sharing of costumers within the business concept Nye Visioner. The differences in the size of the fines are, among other things, due to the fact that the fines depend on the turnover of the companies. The infringements took place in periods that have lasted from almost one year and up to more than five years.
The business concept Nye Visioner encompasses among other things courses within personal planning and efficiency, meeting management, stress prevention and management training. In return of a commission, the founder of Nye Visioner makes the concept available to a number of companies that then become partners in Nye Visioner.
In autumn 2022, five other companies in the same case complex admitted to having entered into illegal agreements on pricing and sharing of costumers within the business concept Nye Visioner. These five other companies accepted fines 10,000-90,000 DKK for their infringements.
All ten fines in the case are limited by the fact that the fines cannot exceed 10 percent of each undertaking’s net turnover in the business year preceding a decision. In addition, in all ten cases, cooperation rebates have been granted, among other things because the parties have admitted to having infringed the competition rules and have co-operated on the investigation and decision of the case.
The Competition and Consumer Authority continues to investigate whether more companies are part of illegal agreements within the business concept Nye Visioner. If the investigations lead to a decision from the Danish Competition Council, or to the Danish Competition Council issuing more fines, this will be published.
