New Deputy Director General for Danish Competition and Consumer Authority
Jacob Schaumburg-Müller has been appointed new Deputy Director General for the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority from 1st of September 2016.
49-year old economist Jacob Schaumburg-Müller is a new member of the Board of Directors for the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority. Jacob Schaumburg-Müller succeeds Deputy Director General Carsten Smidt and will primarily have responsibility with assignments on the area of competition and thereby contribute to well-functioning markets.
Jacob Schaumburg-Müller comes from a position as head of division in the authority’s division for construction, energy and transport. He has also been employed in Microsoft, the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Energy Agency.
With the addition of Jacob Schaumburg-Müller the authority’s Board of Directors now consists of Director General Jakob Hald and the three Deputy Director Generals Niels C. Beier, Bitten Thorgaard Sørensen and Jacob Schaumburg-Müller.
